Southway Housing Trust is a “not-for-profit” landlord, based in Didsbury, managing and improving over 5,900 homes in South Manchester.

– South Manchester Learning Hubs

Our three learning hubs offer a range of services including the following:

Work Clubs – use the computers to search online for jobs, get help with your CV and job applications, and talk to trained careers advisers from the National Careers Service;

Pre-employment training courses – build your confidence, learn how to use the skills you already have, and prepare for your next interview. Some courses have guaranteed interviews at the end.

  • Basic IT courses;
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages;
  • Internet café

– Volunteering with Southway 

Southway support a range of initiatives for you to get involved in, which include options to volunteer for one off events with minimal commitment, all the way to a few days per week sharing your skills with members of the community.

We work closely with all our tenants and involve them in all our decision-making processes. This is reflected in our management structure which includes both Southway staff and tenants.

During our first five years we successfully delivered a multi-million pound programme of improvements to homes and the environment, exceeding the Government’s Decent Homes Standard.
